What a great year for Williston Park Softball!

First and foremost thank you to all the coaches and parents who make this league run. This is an all volunteer league and nothing happens without everyone pitching in!

Our enrollment again this year was solid with over 95 young ladies participating on one of our 8 teams. This year we had 2 Farms Teams (Rossano & Scarola), 3 Minors Teams (Voyer, Corbo, McHugh) and three Majors teams (Scarola, Bory, Walls/Bacchioni). The coaches all did a magnificant job with the girls since we started the winter workouts in January. That seriously is a ton of time and effort so make sure and thank your coaches if you have not done so already!

On the field we has some amazing performances. Our 7th Grade Lady Patriots (Scarola) defeated Manhasset to bring home the league championship in the Majors Division! This team has been together from the beginning and is as good a team as I have seen come through Williston Park in my 17 years here!

Our 5th Grade Minors Team (Voyer) lost a heartbreaker in the Minors championship game vs Albertson-Herricks in extra innings. Anther supremely coached team with plenty of talent that will continue to make some noise in our District the next couple of years.

Our Farms teams teams don’t have playoffs, but they played hard and continue working on thee fundamental skills that will yield dividends in the years to come!

Again couldn’t be prouder of our coaches and ladies. Cant wait till next year!

Save the date for our annual photo day on Sunday, June 2nd from 8AM-12PM at John Caemmerer Park (165 Wentworth Avenue, Albertson). RAIN OR SHINE as photos will be taken indoors. The individual team schedule will be provided to the coaches. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Team and individual photos will be taken during that time. Don’t forget!!! The Williston Park Little League 2023 Opening Day Parade and Ceremony this Saturday April 8th !!!! See the map below for the REVISED parade route. We start at 11:30 am and end at Kelleher Field. There will be a ceremony upon arrival followed by free pizza, hot dogs and drinks. All are welcome to march but if you can’t march, please find a spot on the route and cheer our little leaguers on!!! Hope to see you all there Saturday!!!

All rosters for all baseball divisions have been uploaded to the website. On each team page you will find the sponsor, coaches and full roster. For farms, minors and majors the schedule for games will be posted too.

In order to access this information you must accept the invitation that was sent out Sunday. If you did not get one please let me know at wpob@aol.com.

From the team page, the coaches will be able to correspond with you regarding changes in schedule and general information.

For pre tee and tee ball, all sessions are on Saturdays at Kelleher Field. Pre tee ball is from 9-10 am and tee ball is from 10:15-11:15. All players should have their own glove. we do have helmets and bats available for those who do not have them.

Farms baseball will be having practices during the week at Cross Street. The coaches will let you know the day of their teams practice as soon as it is finalized.

Minors practice will be Mondays at Kelleher Field (time slots to be determines) and majors will be Thursday at either Kelleher Field or Caemmerer Field (fields and slots TBD).

Uniforms will be completed soon. The coaches for farms,, minors and majors will be in charge of getting their teams together to distribute them, Pre tee and tee ball will be distributed at Kelleher Field. I will let you know once we have the order in.

Upon arrival at Kelleher Field, there will be a short ceremony followed by free pizza, hot dogs and drinks. Stick around Kelleher Field after and cheer on our Lady Patriots for a triple header of softball games at 3pm, 5 pm and 7 pm.
